periodic posts and projects

I’m Paul, an IT professional who occasionally creates software for iOS and the web.

I also take 📸 and was once on a list of photographers destined to ‘rock the street photography world’ … but consequently didn’t pick up a camera again for a whole year.

You can get in touch by using one of the social links at the bottom of this page, or by dropping me an email.

Projects Past and Present

Streamlets, the first truly independant 3rd party App for watchOS that enables you to search and stream from over 26,000 stations worldwide, right on your wrist. What’s more, it gives you the option to play the radio broadcast either through a pair of bluetooth headphones or the Apple Watch speaker.
Pi-Man was the first watchOS App that enabled you to view and manage your Pi-hole from your wrist. With its companion iPhone App to get detailed, real-time statistics of your Pi-hole with the ability to pause ad-blocking for a set period of time.
Words on the Street is a Medium publication dedicated to my other passion - Street Photography, with posts on the genre and interviews with fellow photographers who’s work I’ve both discovered and admire.
ISS Watch was an App for Pebble Watch which displayed the next 5 passes of the International Space Station. Written in JavaScript and using the Pebble SDK.
Roasting Pad for iPhone and iPad gave you cooking times for various foods with prompts and timers to move you on to the next cooking stage.
ShrinkURL was the first App I developed in the very early days of the Apple App Store (circa 2009), an iPhone and iPad App to shorten any weblink using the TinyURL or web services.
